I
am writing the sequel of Deeds of Deceit in my Welcome to the Lake series from Eternal Press. DEEDS OF MALICE begins
when Bayliss Jones' best friend, Amihan, a Filipina mail order bride, learns she wasn't legally married when
her "husband" Larry Creswell, is killed in a drive by shooting. Larry's partner Finbar Donahue
hires her as his accounting assistant because money is missing, and he thinks Ami knows something about it. He's far
too cynical to trust a woman, particularly one with a dubious "mail order" reputation. Trying to make ends meet, Ami rents out her downstairs
apartment to a friendly woman she met at Larry's funeral. Her roommate knows all about Larry's fraudulent bank account,
having schemed it with him. To keep her job and save for her dream career as a sports fashion designer, Ami knows
she must impress her cool new boss. His magnetic power terrifies her, but when she's in terrible danger, she finds herself at his mercy. Will Finbar save her
in more ways than one? These winter mountain stories will chill you to the bone, but spicy romance will warm your heart.
When an author submits a manuscript
for a publisher's consideration, he or she includes a synopsis, a back-cover blurb, and a marketing plan for the book.
In order for me to write an emotionally moving story, I write from the heart of the characters I've created. The suspense-filled
plot drives the characters together, but their reactions drive the action. I put deep thought into titles also.
My writing style is contemporary gothic. |
